Ashley & Michael's Wedding Day
Congratulations to Ashley & Michael who were married at Keswick Vineyards wedding venue on Saturday, June 22nd. Once again, Mother Nature did her job by providing beautiful weather for their Charlottesville wedding. Not only did Ashley & Michael have beautiful weather during the day, but they had a super moon that evening that rarely happens. It is when the moons distance is the closest it will get to earth. This couple was full of creativity as you will see by a couple of photo's. I love the idea of having their guests make thumb prints on a drawing of a vineyard. Each thumb print was a grape of the vine! What a beautiful keepsake to hang in their home. I also like how they used old shutters to display their guests table assignments. Special thanks to the following vendors: Catering by C&O, Event Planner Barb Wired, DJ T.D. Layman of Sound Enforcement, Photographer Don Mears, Blue Ridge Florals, Albemarle Baking Company, Albemarle Limousine for buses and get away car, Hair & Make-up Artist Virginia Glenn, Officiant Mary Rodgers and rentals by MS Events. Congratulations Susan & John
Congratulations to Susan & John who were married at Keswick Vineyards on Saturday, June 15th. The day before we had a wedding with a lot of guests flying in from South Africa. This wedding had many guests that had flown in from Korea for Susan & John's Charlottesville wedding! That is what makes my job so great; to meet people I never would have the opportunity to meet and hear family stories from them. It was a wonderful site to see many of the guest wearing traditional Korean garments. They are so colorful! Special thanks to the following vendors for doing such a wonderful job especially Jaclyn and her crew from BBQ Exchange: Catering by BBQ Exchange, DJ Greg Tutwiler, Musician Mike D'Antoni, Photographer Cade Bowman, Hair Artist Ashley Brecken, Florist Terri Bell, Pastries by Paradox Pastry & Albemarle Baking Company, Officiant Aram Bae, Camryn Limo for the get away car, rentals by MS Events and Event Planner Lauren Dunn. Congratulations Lauren & Jaco
Congratulations to Lauren & Jaco who were married at Keswick Vineyards on Friday, June 14th. Amazing weather they had for their wedding day. It was great hosting their wedding here since Jaco is from South Africa and so is our Winemaker, Stephen Barnard. They immediately hit it off when they met and Stephen made sure to stop by to wish them luck on their wedding day. It amazed me how many of their guests flew in from South Africa for their Charlottesville wedding. It was our pleasure to introduce them all to Virginia wine country. I love the color Lauren chose for her bridesmaids to wear. With the selection of flowers & colors in their bouquets everything looked amazing! Also enjoyed the use of our wine barrels and an old door to create a bar for cocktail hour. Special thanks to the following vendors: Catering by Barbecue Exchange, Event Planner Barb Wired, DJ T.D. Layman of Sound Enforcement, Photographer Jamie Kay of JMK Photography, Hair & Make-up by Daphne Latham, Florist Verde Natural, Pastry Chef Bake Love Bakery, Officiant Tere Canzoneri, Camryn Limousine and rentals by MS Events. Like Threading a Needle
Congratulations to Demi & Tony who were married at Keswick Vineyards on Thursday, June 6th. Mother Nature was providing a bit of a challenge for us that day. As all of us at Keswick Vineyards kept a close eye on the radar; Mother Nature was threatening Demi's dream outdoor ceremony with a rain storm. We all knew that Demi had dreamed ever since they toured here, her walking thru our archway to their ceremony location in front of the estate near the vineyard. Nothing meant more to Demi than that so we were all doing whatever was possible to make sure that happened. As I kept a close on eye on the radar I saw we had a small opportunity to get that ceremony in just before an all night rain would be upon us. So, we all quickly got everyone together and moved ahead with the outdoor dream ceremony. Watching the radar was like threading a needle. It was so close but I knew we had to get it in and we did! To everyones relief, Demi and Tony were able to have their dream wedding ceremony outside amongst the vineyard and Demi couldn't of looked more beautiful in her exquisite dress. Thanks to her photographer, Jamie Kay, for quickly getting some outdoor photos before the skies opened upon us. We couldn't have gotten this done without the wonderful team Demi and Tony had put together. Thanks to the following vendors: Caterer Hank's Smokehouse, Photographer Jamie Kay, DJ Pauly Madison, Wedding Director and friend of Demi's JaDene DeCarnube, Officiant Neil Strong, Hair by Demi's Grandmother, Cheryl and MS Rentals.

A Talented Groom
Congratulations to Elizabeth & Dustin who were married at Keswick Vineyards on Saturday, June 8th. The weather was just perfect for an outdoor wedding. Dustin is a very talented guy who made some beautiful and creative items for their wedding day. He made a beautiful framed cork board that they used to place all the table assignment name tags on. My favorite item he made was a wine barrel envelop box for cards people brought that evening. It was made out of planter boxes! How creative is that???? I'm sure many people will copy his creative idea. See the photos below. Special thanks to the following vendors: DJ T.D. Layman of Sound Enforcement, Angela's Elegant Events as the event planner, Photographers Seth & Emily Roberts, Videographer John & Riley from Clubhill Media, Make-up artist Daphne Latham, Flowers by Mona Ray, Pastry Chef (and bridesmaid) Noelle Reinhard, Musician Peter Richardson, Pastor Richard Finck, Cater Champagne Taste, MS Events for rentals and UTS Transit for buses. June Weddings Are Here!
What a great way to start of the month of June for weddings. Rachel and Kevin were our first wedding for the month of June. The day was just beautiful with the bright sun and a light breeze. Originally Rachel and Kevin had planned to get married in September of 2012 but changed their date for military reason to June 1st. June proved to be the perfect choice for them. When Kevin was in the military it allowed the two of them to travel the world together. I love how they incorporated their traveling into a wedding theme. Guest got luggage tags to tell them what table they were seated at. Each table, versus having a number, had a photo of Rachel and Kevin at different countries they had visited including the distance that location is from Charlottesville. Rachel and Kevin will continue their travels with a honeymoon to Bora Bora and Tahiti! Thanks to the following vendors for providing a memorable wedding to Rachel, Kevin and their guests: Caterer The Event Company with Crystal helping as the event planner, DJ Willie who is a friend of the family, Photographer Julie Napear, Verde Natural Florist, Pastry Chef Maliha Creations, Musicians Clarissa Hull, Officiant Reverand J. Adam Sowder, Hair & Make-up by Allison Harper & Company, Photo booth by Smith Landing, Virginia Sports Car, Rentals by Festive Fare and Skyline Tent Company.

Congratulations Julie & Tim!
Congratulations to Julie and Tim who closed out our month of May Charlottesville weddings at Keswick Vineyards. Happy to report that we made it through the entire month of May with no rain issues! Even the 17 year cycle of cicadas didn't seem to bother anyone. I love how this bride made not only her own bouquet, but all her bridesmaids bouquets from old family brooches. This is the second bride this year that has done that and it looks great! I will warn others, they are heavy! Definitely gives your arms a good work out. It was such a pleasure to get to know Julie and Tim and their families. Especially enjoyed the opportunity to work with some new vendors. Special thanks to the following vendors for being such a delight to work with: 20 South Catering, DJ Dennis Payne of Playback, Michael & Corina Photography, Event Planner Becca Beasley of Becca Bee Events, Officiant Gay Lee Einstein, Musician Billy Caldwell, Hair & Make-up by Jeanne Cusick, Flowers by Floral Images Design Studio, Favorite Cakes, Skyline Tent Company, MS Rentals and Albemarle Transportation for buses.
