
2024 Touriga
Deeply colored with Ruby edges, no indication of haziness or sedimentation.The nose is medium on concentration with aromas of dark berries [blackberry, blueberry, back currant] smoked meat, some earthiness [forest floor, wet leaves] with additional granitic minerality and black tea notes.The palate is dry with medium acidity, medium plus body, length and finish.The tannins are medium plus and dry, but well integrated with the wine. Flavors are very similar to the aromatic profile, showcasing black berried fruit, earthy tones with additional flavors of espresso bean and vanilla derived from the oak aging.
A young wine that many need a year or two in the bottle to integrate and showcase its depth of flavors, aging potential is 6-8 years with proper cellaring.
Serve at room temperature and pair with gamey meats or braised meat dishes, cured salami and prosciutto.
