2024 Chardonnay Reserve
Straw colored with light green tinges on the rim, no sedimentation or flocculation. The nose is medium plus intensity with aromas of red apple, brown pears, meyer lemon and some baking spices, with subtle hints of brioche or pastry dough. The palate has a good bit of acidity, medium plus in weight with a long finish. Flavors include, red apple, bread, vanilla, cirtus fruits and some stone fruits with additional aeration and warmth. The palate is dry and the oak well integrated with the wine, providing more structural and textural support versus oak derived flavores. A wine that is young and could benifit from 1-2 years aging before consumption, but certainly has the structure to develop in the bottles for a further 5-8 years. Serve slightly chilled and pair with white meats and fattier seafood dishes, but also easily drink on its own.
